According to the order, skill subjects like retail, information technology, introduction to financial markets, food production, marketing and sales, physical activity training, beauty and wellness and data science have to be inducted as vocational subjects in the Delhi government schools curriculum. Delhi Government To Introduce Six Compulsory Skill Subjects at Secondary Level in All Govt Schools From Session 2023-24.

CBSE is going to introduce three skill based courses at secondary and senior secondary levels. These courses will help in building students' creativity and critical thinking approach.

The CBSE wrote that coding is a creative activity that students from any discipline can engage in and it helps to build computational thinking, develop problem solving skills, critical thinking and exposure to real life situations to solve issues in various realms.
