concern is going to be snow. by tomorrow morning, all of that snow pushes into the northeast. now, you're talking about the concern for some slick spots across boston. yes, even new york. this could be the system that breaks the snow drought for cities like washington, d.c., philadelphia, and new york, which have gone an incredibly long period of time without having an inch of snow in a day. 700-consecutive days at least for the city of new york. this could end up getting broken, however, as this next round of snow begins to come into the area in the next 24 hours. the candidates are trying to get voters to show up, despite the cold. we've been talking about the battle between nikki haley and ron desantis, seen as a battle for second place. how does nikki haley have a successful night? she has been reaching out to independent and moderate voters. can the voters actually vote in a republican caucus? the answer is yes.

it goes through texas. south texas is under a windchill warning, doesn't happen often, and the chicago area too. chicago feels like negative 24 right now. there's a lot of numbers on these maps. nashville's negative 1. there's snow on the ground. you had an inch of snow last night in the nashville area. and by the way, that means nashville had an inch of snow before washington, d.c., philly, and new york city this winter. when's it going to warm up? dallas, wednesday you warm up. same with houston. same with areas like denver. we're going to stay frigid throughout much of the northern half of the country. there is snow out there. northern mississippi, northern alabama, all the way through tennessee. finally the snow drought, it looks like d.c., philly and new york will get their first inch of snow in over two years tomorrow. >> wow, and to think that shenandoah is a toasty minus 2, and that's the warmest part of that state. unbelievable. coldest caucus ever, thank you. >> we'll have much more ahead

rain/snow line. most of the snow is going to be to the north and west. then it starts to work into new england, peaking in boston overnight. then you get a second push of snow overnight tonight and into tomorrow morning where you might get an inch or two of slush on top of all this. again, snow totals highest from central pennsylvania, upstate new york, interior new england where you could get 6 to 12 inches. that rain/snow line is right there on where that snow drought has been playing out for the last two years. central park hasn't seen snow in 691 days. it is the longest stretch on record that they haven't seen an inch of snow. we'll be watching closely today. >> they are getting ready now. thank you. tomorrow, the legacy of the miracle on the hudson 15 years
