In a normal year, SnowBull would turn Burlington Memorial Auditorium into a rodeo on the riverfront, drawing top bull riders from across the country to the auditorium’s specially-created indoor dirt arena.
But this year, anyone can be the cowboy.
For Mechanical SnowBull this Friday and Saturday, the auditorium will be fashioned more like an Urban Cowboy-style honky-tonk bar or line dancing club, with a rented mechanical bull, ready for anyone who dares to ride, starting at 7 p.m. Rides are $10 apiece.
“I have been on (a mechanical bull) before and let’s just say I was not very impressive,” laughed David Kroll, assistant director of Burlington Riverfront Entertainment, which is hosting the event. ....
