The UK-based company Geowynd has signed a contract with Ørsted for the provision of consulting and engineering services for the Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm in Germany.
Geowynd will provide numerical analysis and advanced soil parameterisation for monopile foundation design at the Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore wind farm, located in the German sector of the North Sea.
“Geowynd are delighted to be working with Ørsted on this large 900 MW project. We’re excited to deploy our software CASCADE or Computational Approach for Soil Cyclic Accumulation with Drainage Effects”, said
Mike Rattley, Director, Geowynd.
The CASCADE software is one of Geowynd’s proprietary tools for the advanced analysis of fixed-bottom support structures. According to the company, several more tools are set to be added to its inventory this year. ....
