While the GR Infra, the construction company carrying out the repair work, claims that no work regarding the strengthening of the hill slope at Chakki Mor can be started without the approvals of the NHAI, the NHAI officials maintain that the approvals take their own time, but the work of slope strengthening at Chakki Mor should not stop, just for the sake of approvals.

While the Solan administration said that a request has been sent to NHAI Regional Officer to carry out the repair work without disturbing much of their land, the affected families are all set to move the Himachal Pradesh High Court against the NHAI claiming massive “disturbance” in the area.

The Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla also visited the Chakki Mor site on Thursday and inspected the area.
