The future museum display of NASA's retired space shuttle Endeavour took a giant step upward as cranes lifted the first of two solid rocket motors into the vertical at the California Science Center.
Endeavour's giant rockets will be hoisted by crane next week to sit atop the craft's aft skirts in the first step of assembling a full-stack configuration of the shuttle at the future Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center.
