7M empty canisters seized in P285M raid
More than seven million empty butane canisters and gas cylinders, valued at P285 million, were seized during a raid at a warehouse in Sitio Batong, Barangay Danglag in the northern town of Consolacion, Cebu on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023. The operation was conducted by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Anti-Fraud and Commercial Crimes Unit, based in Camp Crame in Metro Manila, following complaints from competing firms about the loss of a significant quantity of their butane canisters.
