Seven authors were honoured at the Writers' Trust gala, as the organization announced the winners of this year's literary awards at a gala in Toronto on Wednesday night.
The Writers' Trust of Canada gave out $270,000 worth of prizes in recognition of the year's best books, as well as mid-career and lifetime achievement awards.
The annual prize is one of the biggest in Canadian fiction. The winner will be announced on Nov. 2.
