CAPE TOWN – Justice and Constitutional Development Minister Ronald Lamola has warned against attacks on the judiciary.
He also underlined the need for everyone in the country to respect the Constitution and the rule of law.
Kicking off the second day of debate on President Cyril Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address, Lamola said that to allow anything else would lead to anarchy.

CAPE TOWN – Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has accused some members of the judiciary of receiving bribes from white business interests, and he's warned of an “uprising” if judges collude with politicians to deal with their opponents.
Malema launched his attack on the judiciary during Tuesday’s debate on President Cyril Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address (Sona).

Social media has weighed in on acting minister in the presidency and small businesses minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni calling EFF leader Julius Malema “an empty vessel" making the loudest noise.
Ntshavheni also called out the firebrand leader for being a political flip-flopper, saying he must rejoin the ANC if he is so concerned about its internal affairs.
During a joint sitting of parliament on Tuesday to debate President Cyril Ramaphosa’s recent state of the nation address, Malema called Ramaphosa "incompetent" and "unreliable”.
