Japan's Sony Corp and Honda Motor Co Ltd said on Friday they would pair up to develop and sell battery-powered electric vehicles, and said they were open to bringing in other partners.
Sony is teaming up with automaker Honda to start a new company that will develop and sell electric vehicles, as the Japanese tech and electronics giant leaps into the rapidly growing sector.

Sony and Honda are aiming to establish a new company this year and begin sales of their first vehicle in 2025.
Honda will be responsible for manufacturing the vehicles while Sony will develop the mobility service platform, the two Japanese brands said at a conference on Friday.
