If you’re looking to launch your career on Florida’s iconic Space Coast, make sure you come out to the Brevard County Job Fair on April 20 as Careersource Brevard partners with Canaveral Port Authority and cities to offer Port and city positions. The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at CareerSource Brevard – Rockledge Career Center, located at 295 Barnes Boulevard in Rockledge.
As part of National Second Chance Month, job fair will be for those who have been incarcerated or in the criminal justice system.
CareerSource Brevard president describes Brevard's 2.6% unemployment rate as "very, very low," adding: "I feel like we still have labor shortages."
There will be a large contingent of aerospace, defense and space companies represented at the job fair, as well as local government entities.
In all, announcement by Gov. Ron DeSantis encompassed $29.9 million for programs to support workforce development along Space Coast, nearby counties.
