Share December 12, 2020, 8:09 AM A 17-year-old Detroit youth has been charged in connection with a September rollover crash in Southfield that killed two of his passengers and injured four others. Ramone Cortez Hampton, 17, turned himself in at the Southfield Police Department on Thursday and faces two counts of reckless driving causing death and one count of reckless driving causing serious bodily injury. Hampton was driving on Telegraph Road near 10 Mile Sept. 18, allegedly at a high speed, when he lost control and rolled the crowded vehicle. DeRell Blackmon, 17, and Ja’Qai Garrett, 16, both students at Oak Park High School, were killed.
