She says she wasn’t all that enthusiastic about Lego until she learned she could use it to create art. “When you do an art piece like this it s an emotional journey,” she says. It was only her third creation, but Donella Evans’ mental health-themed Lego mosaic won the hearts of judges and Stadium Southland management. The 2.1 by 1.8–metre artwork, made out of Lego pieces, won the Best Effort in Show prize at this year s Southland Brick Show, and management at the stadium liked it so much, it will be displayed in the stadium foyer for the next month.
