The Indian Ministry of Home Affairs is banning 54 Chinese apps from the local Google Play store citing national security concerns.
In a statement, the Ministry said that these 54 apps allegedly obtained critical permissions and collected real time data that was being misused and transmitted to servers located in hostile country
The Indian government has banned 54 new apps, including Garena Free Fire, saying that it has the “Power to issue directions for interception or monitoring or decryption of any information through any computer resource.”
