SPANISH FORK — Midway through Grantsville baseball team's second game of a doubleheader championship for the 3A state title, the crowd erupted in cheers — and it had nothing to do with what was happening on the field. The Cowboys' softball team had just made the trip from Spanish Fork to West Jordan to join their baseball counterparts — a few hours after winning a championship of their own. Winning pitcher August Cowan had a double and two RBI to help Grantsville to its fourth consecutive Class 3A state title with a 6-5 win over Manti on Saturday afternoon at the Spanish Fork Complex.
