Basically buyers would choose a standard frame, choose the micrometer head from a list and order a large quantity. Micrometer heads would have been bought in by the assembler. What ideas and methods do you have for transporting a 5" gauge loco. How do you lift / move them from your workshop to your car / trailer / track? My SPEEDY is getting a bit too heavy to lift with one person. I have an RSJ in the workshop which allows me to get it from floor to bench / storage area, but now need to think about getting it to the garden track which is 200 meters away and for the future, how to load it into the back of the car? Do you have a transportation box? How sturdy do you make these?

  Now that my 5" Speedy is nearing completion, it was time to make rail track and a Driving Trolley, here are my notes on its construction. PAT testing is not usually ever done on home appliamces during their lifetime. If you were to buy any mains electrical equipment second hand from a shop or charity, it would have to be tested first. We have hundreds of things PAT tested every year at the museum, and the only variations to the basic tests are for computers. We have not had any particular failures caused by testing that come to mind. Most failures are damaged cables and plugs. The VFD for the mill was tested this year and wasn't damaged.
