Businesses along Grand Avenue in Spencer saw a little extra traffic Saturday thanks to Spencer Main Street’s annual pre-Valentines Day Chocolate Walk.
According to Spencer Main Street Executive Director Nancy Naeve, 181 people and 25 businesses signed up to participate in the Chocolate Walk. It’s a modest number, but Saturday is usually a slower day for most Grand Avenue businesses, she said.
“To put 200 people downtown on a Saturday, that’s a win,” Naeve said.
