The Cold Spring Bakery is offering pastry lovers a sweet treat on the house Friday. The offer is good at both of the Cold Spring and Waite Park locations.
All customers are eligible for a free glazed donut while they check out some of the other specials going on at the bakery, including a dozen donut deal ($4.99) and a dozen glazed donuts for $9.99.

It s finally here: The first day of the year that s all about pie.
Technically, March 14 is all about celebrating pi, the mathematical constant whose first three digits are 3.14. (Do you see what they did there?) But you better believe the main celebratory action is consuming the tasty dessert that, in my opinion, is too pigeonholed into Thanksgiving to receive its due attention.
Plus, pi is an important part of calculating both the radius and circumference of a circle, so really, pie is a great way to celebrate pi.
No, I didn t make this up. That credit is given to Larry Shaw, who created Pi Day in 1988. He was a former staff physicist of the San Francisco Exploratorium, and on the first Pi Day, at 1:59 p.m. (the subsequent digits of pie after 3.14), he and his wife set up a table of fruit pies in the museum to celebrate. ....

Calling all chocolate lovers! On Friday, February 12, 2021, Cold Spring and Richmond area businesses will be participating in a CHOCOLATE CRAWL. This is a first-time event brought to you by the Cold Spring Area Chamber of Commerce and local businesses.
There is a list of participating businesses throughout the area that will be offering unique chocolates while supplies last. It won t just be typical chocolates either, hot chocolate, chocolate cupcakes, chocolate candy, chocolate protein shakes, chocolate ice cream bars & more will all be sampled on Friday.
The Chocolate Crawl is free to attend and participate in, attendees are encouraged to follow CDC social distancing guidelines when going into the different establishments. ....
