April 23 2021 Organizers of the annual automotive gathering in inner Southeast Portland promise to do it again in 2022. Portland Transmission Warehouse has cancelled its annual downtown car show for the second year because of COVID-19 concerns. The show, which has always been held the Saturday before Mother's Day, has traditionally draw hundreds of cars and thousands of people to the inner Southeast Portland neighborhood around its shop at 1016 S.E. The Wendy’s Spring Classic Softball tournament is set to take place Thursday, April 15th– Saturday, April 17thin Ashland. The tournament will be played at Brookside Park and features 16 teams from the state of Ohio, including several local teams in Madison, Ashland, Loudonville and Ontario. Tournament Director John Davis said, they raise scholarship money for area Softball players. In the 28 years of the Wendy’s Spring Classic more than $124,000 has been awarded in scholarships
