Inspector Masroor Ahmad Wani, a Jammu and Kashmir Police officer, succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, more than a month after he was shot in Srinagar’s Eidgah area.
Inspector Masroor Wani was on life support. He was shifted from Srinagar's Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences to AIIMS-Delhi on Wednesday, the officials said. The police officer was playing cricket with local boys at Eidgah grounds in downtown Srinagar when he was shot at by terrorists on October 29 this year.
Wani, aged 34, was shot by a Lashker-e-Taiba terrorist on October 29 while he was playing cricket with his friends at Eidgah. He succumbed to injuries today while undergoing treatment in Delhi. , India News, Times Now
