Gas Tanker Explosion In Ogun Kills One, Injures Several Others, Destroys Vehicles

    The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has confirmed one person dead and six others injured, while six vehicles were burnt down by a gas tanker explosion that occurred at Ita Osin along Abeokuta-Sango-Lagos Expressway in Ogun State on Saturday. The FRSC’s Ogun State Sector Command spokesperson, Florence Okpe, who made this known in a statement said that the deceased was suspected to be the motorboy of the gas-laden tanker.

The Sector Commander of the State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Patrick Ikaba has confirmed the death of four persons involved in a road crash at Rinji village. The village is in the Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State. The incident occurred along the busy Bauchi-Jos Federal Highway. The Command also stated that it handed over the sum of N1.6 million recovered from accident victims to their immediate family members in line with the guidelines of the Corps.
