What makes a good picture . We dont know, because if we knew thered be a lot more memorable pictures, wouldnt there . And there arent that many. And ive done a few memorable pictures. I know this now. When you were painting the biggest splash or any of those very famous images, you didnt know at the time that these were going to have the potency that they. No, no. I didnt know. In fact, youre always a little bit baffled why. All artists, especially if theyre painters, have to take on art history. Its a challenge.
