Barbosa’s wife left the house with her children when Barbosa followed her in a Ford F-150.
Deputy Garr contacted Barbosa’s wife to follow up on her earlier 911 call. Deputies advised Barbosa’s wife to meet deputies at the auction yard in Cottonwood, where Sergeant Jose Gonzalez was en route to.
When deputies contacted Barbosa’s wife in the parking lot, Barbosa drove away and deputies did not follow him, instead, they contacted his wife.
While en route to the auction yard, Sgt. Gonzalez saw Barbosa’s truck and began to follow him to see if he would return home. He passed the road to his home and was heading in the direction of a more populated area. ....
