SWAT officers and crisis negotiators were sent to Caesars Palace after a man barricaded himself in a room, taking a woman hostage and apparently throwing a nightstand out of a window.
No injuries were reported and police did not immediately say if the man in custody had been armed.
Guests heard and saw a 21st floor window shatter and furniture and other items fly out and land in the pool area below.
