Taxes are payable next summer. City Administrator Scott Coker said Macomb is allowed a 2.3 percent increase under the Illinois Property Tax Extension Limitation Law. He said this would make the city tax total $2.3 million and that the money would go into the police and firefighter pension funds and to Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund expenses for other city employees.
