steve, this looks like a bad flu season already. it s an early one. we don t usually see a peak until january. here s what s happening. i think the last couple of years when people had their masks on or were home, they didn t weren t exposed to viruses they usually see like the flu. we had very mild flu season so we didn t get the immunity we usually do. and now along comes a strain from the south from australia that s actually pretty severe and people, again, that weren t exposed to it before are getting pretty sick from it. also, flu vaccine is down 5% this year. not as many getting the flu shot as should and this flu shot looks like it s pretty good coverage. so all of that combined with a lot of rsv infections and still plenty of covid out there, you are seeing a lot of upper respiratory infections especially in our kids which concerns us the most. steve: dr. siegel, i was just talking to our family doctor. i told him i was about to do this segment and to your point fewer peo ....
