Russell, Timberwolves snap 7-game skid with win over Spurs
D’Angelo Russell had 27 points, five rebounds and five assists as the Minnesota Timberwolves snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 96-88 win Sunday over the San Antonio Spurs. Russell and Malik Beasley, who added 24 points, helped the Wolves get their first win since Dec. 26. “I thought we had a number of guys who just got fed up with losing at that point and knowing that the defensive end was where it was going to get done,” said Timberwolves coach Ryan Saunders.
