Family's thanks to Carlisle man, after heroic actions helped save lorry driver's life in M6 crash
After witnessing a terrifying crash on the motorway, one man jumped into action – and played a vital role in saving a lorry driver’s life. Carlisle man Antony Scott was shocked as he watched a car collide with a lorry near Junction 27 of the M6 on Saturday (January 23). After swerving to avoid the crash, the 31-year-old’s first thought was to check on the driver of the car and the lorry. But after getting no response from the lorry driver, he pulled away the glass of the cab and did his best to keep the injured driver talking and awake.
