P1 to 3 pupils to do one week of home-based learning from June 28

Primary 1 to 3 pupils will continue with a week of home-based learning (HBL) from June 28 when Term 3 begins, said the Ministry of Education (MOE) yesterday.
They will return to school on Tuesday, July 6, as Monday is a school holiday.
Secondary 1 and 2 students will be on HBL for three days till June 30 and return to school on Thursday, July 1. This is part of a move to progressively allow students back to school after the June holidays to keep students and staff safe.
Students in Primary 4 to 6, Secondary 3 to 5, junior colleges and the Millennia Institute will return to school on June 28, when the new term begins.

In the case of Yio Chu Kang Primary, pupils there are already on HBL, and this will be extended till May 28.
The MOE said that it is in contact with the schools to provide the necessary support, and is closely monitoring the well-being of pupils and staff identified as close contacts of confirmed cases.
In a Facebook post, Education Minister Chan Chun Sing said he shared the same concerns as parents over the recent cases related to schoolchildren. “Our immediate priority is to ring-fence the schools with confirmed cases to safeguard the well-being of our students and staff.”

K1 and P1 pupils will need to report to their new schools on Jan 4, 2021, with K2 and P2-P6 children reporting the next day.

SINGAPORE - All Ministry of Education (MOE) kindergartens as well as special education, primary and secondary schools will start the school year from Jan 4, while junior colleges (JCs) and Millennia Institute (MI) will start on Jan 11.
But for kindergartens and primary schools, only Kindergarten 1 (K1) children and Primary 1 (P1) pupils need to report to their new schools on Jan 4, while Kindergarten 2 and Primary 2 to Primary 6 children will remain at home and report to school only on Jan 5, MOE said on Friday (Dec 18).
