Compromises, right? i mean, the fear that a lot of those businesses have is that they can t pay everybody $12 an hour and can t willy-nilly raise all prices? even though you say, they re going to have to deal with fewer workers. at the very least, at the outset, some people will lose their jobs. do you buy that? ot many. not many at all. again, we re talking about price rises that are so small, 1% at walmart. there was a major study done, and it really shows walmart could give everybody a wage of minimum $12 an hour, but raising prices 1%, which is $12.50 per year for the average walmart shopper. there s another factor that comes in to play. right now the government, the taxpayers, you and i, are spending $250 billion a year in social welfare spending. going to these low-wage workers, because they can t live on their salary. if you have a situation where suddenly they re earning enough to get by, they automatically lose these welfare benefits and ....
