The portals www.keralamarket.com , www.keralamarket.kerala.gov.in and www.keralamarket.org will help businesses across the country and outside to interact with the MSMEs and PSUs in the State and conclude business transactions seamlessly, said an official of the Industries Department on Wednesday. ....

The organic farming project of Kerala Minerals and Metals Ltd. (KMML) produced a bumper yield of various tubers in the harvest held this week. The company had first started integrated paddy farming on 7.5 acres of fallow land, later launching Thalir, another initiative as part of Subhiksha Keralam project that aims to achieve self-sufficiency in food production. High yielding varieties that include Varada ginger, Parthibha turmeric, elephant foot yam Gajendra and cassava were among the crops that offered a great harvest. ....

A week after harvesting tapioca from the Kerala Water Authority compound near Sarovaram Bio Park, paddy cultivated in 5 acres at Kannadikkal was harvested on Wednesday. The corporation had started cultivation of tapioca, paddy, ginger, and turmeric, besides yam and other vegetables in 85 acres across the city, of which the crop in 24 acres is ready for harvest now. ....
Paddy harvest at Ezhippuram The government has been trying to reclaim the lost agrarian culture through various projects, said Fisheries Minister J.Mercykutty Amma here on Sunday. Inaugurating the paddy harvest at Ezhippuram, she added that measures should be taken to market value added products along with rice. “In a bid to attain self-sufficiency in production the government has introduced many initiatives including royalty for those who continue farming for three consecutive years, farmer pension and various subsidies. The government could create over one lakh job opportunities even in the middle of natural disasters and COVID-19,” she said. Kerala Agriculture Minister harvests vegetables to promote Subhiksha Keralam programme ANI | Updated: Dec 16, 2020 12:09 IST Kochi (Kerala) [India], December 16 (ANI): In order to promote Kerala Government s Subhiksha Keralam programme, started during the Covid-19 period for smooth coordination between existing agriculture schemes in the state, State Agriculture Minister VS Sunil Kumar on Tuesday harvested vegetables, potatoes and other food crops in the outskirts of Aluva Guest House. He stayed here for eight months when he was in-charge of Ernakulam district for Covid-19. At that time, he had planted these. State government started a programme, named Subhiksha Keralam during the COVID period to coordinate all the existing schemes for the promotion of agriculture. It is with the aim of becoming self-sufficient by cultivating the vegetables and other crops we need in every home and wasteland, said Kumar. ....
