Common Council Approves COPS Hiring Grant

As a result of this decision, 30 new police officers will be fully funded for the next three years through a $9.7 million grant. We appreciate that the decision by the Common Council to approve the grant was not unanimous and understand that it comes with the expectation that we, as a police department, will continue our efforts to improve as an agency.
