LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly has been moved to ensure supplies of wheat flour and sugar at model bazaars. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz lawmaker Hina Pervaiz Butt submitted a resolution to the assembly secretariat here on Monday criticising the Punjab government for what, she says, staging a drama for the provision of cheap sugar at model bazaars. She says the consumers are allowed to purchase only one packet of one kg sugar at Rs65 per kg from the bazaars, while the sweetener as well as wheat flour are missing from the facilities from day one. She claims that a large number of consumers returned home empty handed for non-availability of the two commodities at the bazaars. ....
