(Davenport, IL) Storm survey crews from the National Weather Service-Quad Cities have confirmed a weak
(EF-0) tornado hit part of southwest Cedar Rapids Wednesday at 8:36 p.m. The twister packed 85-mile per hour winds and was 40-yards wide. It was on the ground for about a half mile.
The tornado damaged several manufactured homes and a garage in the southwest part of Cedar Rapids, in the Summit View Mobile Home Park. One home sustained significant roof damage, with additional siding damage to nearby homes.
One person sustained minor injuries from glass from a bedroom window.
Survey crews say the tornado scattered debris into a nearby field. ....

Officials verify that weak tornado caused Iowa damage

Cedar Rapids, Ia (AP) The National Weather Service confirms that a weak tornado damaged homes at a Cedar Rapids mobile home park.
Television station KCRG reports the tornado was rated an EF-0 and reached winds up to 85 mph. It hit about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Summit View Mobile Home Park. The tornado traveled for more than a half-mile before lifting back into the air over a field.
The weather service says several mobile homes were damaged, including one that had a roof partially torn off, and windows in another home were blown out. One girl suffered minor injuries from flying glass. ....
