1959年，1968年，1975年，1988年，1995年，2008年，2021年。70年间，一个普通的北京家人在这七个时间点上吃了七顿寻常又不寻常的饭，这背后，不仅是餐桌上吃食的变化，更是北京这个城市的飞速变化，以及人与时代的风貌变迁。

对于创作此剧的初衷，黄盈说，“我小时候的日子虽然不是特别苦，但是也常常会听到我的长辈聊‘吃不饱’这些事。我自己一直对于吃饭这件事没太多的概念，有啥吃啥，对做饭其实也没有任何兴趣。后来赶上了外卖的兴起，吃饭变得很容易。动动手指，饭就送到眼前了。我就回想起来，小时候吃饭挺费劲的，现在怎么变得唾手可得了？这种变化给了我一些思考和创作的冲动。”后来在一次创作会上，制作人孙维彤提议，“不如我们写一个 ....
