AeroLEDs has received FAA approval for more than 200 Part 27 makes and models. The new Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) covers the installation of the SunSpot 36 and 46 Series LEDs on nearly all “Normal” category rotorcraft. The SunSpot Series Landing and Taxi lights feature less drag, less draw, more lumens output (total light output), and are vibration and shock resistant, which makes them unaffected by adverse environmental conditions, according to company officials.
