Superbugs India: Superbugs are 'dangerously high' threat in Greece, India, Turkey
Drug-resistant microbes are causing significant harm, resulting in 79,000 deaths annually and increasing medical costs by $28.9 billion across 34 OECD and EU/EEA countries. The OECD warns that if not addressed, resistance to last-resort drugs could be twice as bad by 2035 compared to 2005. Greece, India, Turkey, and other nations already have a dangerously high prevalence of hard-to-treat infections.
