HUNTINGTON — The Cabell County Board of Education will no longer conduct expulsion hearings, choosing instead to leave the hearings up to Superintendent Ryan Saxe.
Gov. Kevin Stitt announced late Tuesday he replaced most of the appointed members of the State Board of Education.
Ryan served 13 years as the GCISD superintendent and, pending board approval, will serve his last day on Jan. 1, 2023. He will however remain an employee of the district until Aug. 31, 2023 to assist with the leadership transition.
