attention of the archbishops' council... what's their mental state like? they are — their mental state is horrendous. i've listened to one survivor describe to me her suicide plan. i've had a survivor telling me they've taken two overdoses since. i've shared all this with the church of england and what i don't understand is why they will not just sit down and talk with us in terms of developing a plan for these individuals. i can't ignore them and i am not going to ignore them... crosstalk. well, the church says it's not ignoring them, either. it points to the fact it has now appointed a new sort of independent supervisor of the whole safeguarding scene, that is — i think we've referred to her already — professor alexis jay, who ran that independent inquiry on child sex abuse that you referred to. they also point to several other initiatives they've taken, including putting more than — well, over £100 million into programmes to help the victims of historic abuse.

disheartening, we know that homelessness, mentalilness, they are linked together. if we don't have a mayor that cares issue not soros backed, we will continue to see this vicious cycle. >> kayleigh: gavin newsom's future hinges on san francisco and it is about how his political future is inextricably linked and we know it and took his cabinet to tour the district and said look at open-air drug markets, we need to fix it and he has been moonlighting as a executive, seems like gavin newsom realizes we have to get this in order. good luck. >> dagen: some supervisor in san francisco who is against law enforcement who wants to have a hearing to talk about all the car theft straight from the gavin newsom playbook. a district is ditching historic

february. he previously had been working as an inspector general inside of the kemp administration. he was appointed to that role in early 2021. and previous before that, he worked in the capacity to former assistant u.s. attorney in the northern district of georgia, but also before he took that role, he had actually worked inside of the fulton county district attorney's office. fani willis was technically his supervisor. but for scott mcafee here, this is a big case that if, in fact, he ultimately oversees here for scott mcafee, of course, he's not faced the attacks of donald trump yet, yet the former president has seemed to never hold back against anybody, even if they are republican appointed judges, for instance, even in the aftermath of the 2020 election he went on the attack against the u.s. supreme court justices that he himself had nominated to the bench here. so, for scott mcafee right now there is a lot of waiting and seeing in terms of exactly the role that he will play in this

saying he couldn't be trusted because he allowed hunter biden to strike a sweetheart deal in the first place and this idea that the special counsel investigation is now going to impede the investigation allows them to continue to further their attacks on the biden administration and this idea that they've been pushing that the justice department has been weaponized and has the fbi and law enforcement in general against republicans and that this is just the latest example of that. but you know, as you just noted, months ago, there were republicans who were clambering about this very idea that there wasn't a special counsel apointed. they claimed and touted the testimony of whistleblowers like the irs supervisor who was working closely on this case, that he said weiss had asked to be special counsel and that garland had rejected it.

it's a strategic decision she'll have to make. she's no stranger to bringing rico indictments. she understands how to strike the balance in these early stages so that her evidence can go in at trial the way she wants it to go in, and something that folks who aren't from the south, and may not be familiar with fani willis need to know is that while she's the elected district attorney in fulton county, she's someone with a deep background, doing complicated cases herself. she's not the bus, the supervisor, she's the bus who's been there charging rico in some very unusual situations. one involving educators in the atlanta area who were involved in a fraudulent test score rigging scheme. and so she took rico out of its native territory, organized crime, and used it very successfully in that incident. >> known as a tough on crime prosecutor, lisa, let's talk about donald trump's own words and the way that he has gone after not just fani willis and the judges and witnesses
