(pawsyourstress/Instagram) It’s tough enough as it is to train a puppy, but the PAWSitive Support Project at the University of Saskatchewan had to move its classes online last year when the pandemic hit. The program is for veterans and first responders who have been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Knowing just how important support dogs are to those with PTSD, the program moved online last April so it could still be there for those who needed the support. Master Cpl. Michael Richards is one of those veterans and more than two years ago, he was matched with Felix.

MAIL records beetroot yield of over 5,000 tons for 1399

(Last Updated On: April 23, 2021) Afghanistan’s Statistics and Information Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) has recorded a solid yield in the cultivation and harvest of beetroot for the 1399 solar year. MAIL stated that in total, 5,000 metric tons of beetroot was harvested last solar year (April 2020 to March 2021) and that 2,910 metric tons was harvested in Takhar province alone. These Redditch groups will receive thousands in grants

SEVERAL voluntary and community sector groups in Redditch are set to receive a share from a £35k council grant pot. Redditch Nightstop, the Old Needle Works Foundation and Where Next Association, are some of the successful groups to get a funding boost. Bidding for the grant opened in February and the second round of funding will take place in the autumn of this year.
