OLD SAYBROOK The Estuary Council of Seniors recently broke ground on a grounds project that will help older adults and the general public achieve better health and well-being, according to a statement.
Two years ago, the Estuary Council started the process of working to maximize the space behind the existing senior center, to take advantage of the gorgeous views of North Cove and create an outdoor haven for furthering wellness. Landscape Architect Anne Penniman was hired to design a space that would help fulfill the Estuary’s mission of promoting healthy, independent aging.
