A lengthy debate on the village took place amongst councillors as part of the 2021-2027 plan for the county, but ultimately, the discussion hardly inspired confidence that the Stamullen issue would be sorted anytime soon. Indeed Cllr Alan Tobin went as far as to state 'the people of Stamullen are being held to ransom' and 'the people have been suffering for a long time.'
