I walked up the road, saw the linemen doing their thing. this is about five feet in diameter, this tree, came crashing down in my neighborhood. took out two cars, two or three utility poles, transformer. luckily nobody hurt. because this happened at 2:00, 3:00 in the morning, i think that s one of the reasons we had less in the way of injuries and fatalities. this by the way, take my weather switcher and this gives you an idea of the suv that it took out. whoa. the power of this tree as it came down and this scene echoed throughout not only atlanta but other cities across the south. unbelievable stuff. what s crazy, that looked like a sturdy tree. i mean right. five foot, didn t look like no. it wasn t. it wasn t sick at all. trust me, i went up there and took a good look at it. when you have winds of 60, 7080 miles per hour and now that trees are starting to mossome, i guess, the leaves are coming, more of a sail effect. ....
