The son of ousted Gabonese President Ali Bongo, along with several of his associates, has been charged with high treason and corruption.

In total, 10 people were indicted on allegations that included corruption, embezzlement of public funds and money laundering.

The son of Ali Bongo Ondimba and several allies of the ousted Gabon president have been charged with high treason and corruption and placed in custody, the state prosecutor told AFP Wednesday.
