Antiferroelectrics (AFEs) are promising candidates in energy-storage capacitors, electrocaloric solid-cooling, and displacement transducers. As an actively studied lead-free antiferroelectric (AFE) material, NaNbO3 has long suffered from its ferroelectric (FE)-like polarization-electric field (P-E) hysteresis loops with high remnant polarization and large hysteresis. In this study, a Ni-based Hastelloy C276 alloy was prepared using cold metal transfer (CMT)-based directed energy deposition (DED) under different heat inputs with a zig-zag deposition path, integrated with active cooling and interlayer temperature control. Analogous mechanical properties were obtained for the fabricated alloys under different heat inputs (276, 368 and 553 J/mm) through effective interlayer temperature control. "A comprehensive research on new DyCo2Mnx (x = 0.0–1.0) Laves phases" by Chun Sheng Fang, Jian Li Wang et al.

DyCo2Mnx (x = 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 1.0) compounds were synthesised and found to all be single-phase, isostructural to DyCo2 (MgCu2 Laves phase cubic structure (Fd-3 m) at room temperature). DyCo2Mn exhibits a huge coercivity field HC = 21,170 Oe at 5 K. The magnetic transition at Curie temperature TC, was observed as first order for DyCo2 but second order for the Mn doped compounds.
