SATU dari sekian instruksi Presiden Joko Widodo kepada Kepolisian RI atau Polri saat memimpin upacara HUT Polri selama tiga tahun berturut-turut adalah meningkatkan pelayanan publik yang modern dan profesional.
Pada sisi lain, hasil survei Indeks Tata Kelola Polri (ITK) pada level polres selama tiga tahun terakhir menemukan adanya upaya pembenahan yang terus dilakukan di sektor layanan, salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan teknologi informasi.
