A 33-year old man has been arrested after a crash has left a six-year-old boy seriously injured. The collision happened on Marlton Road in Blackburn at about 9.40pm yesterday (January 28) when a Vauxhall Movano van hit the boy. The child suffered serious injuries and was taken to Manchester Children’s Hospital by ambulance - his injuries are thankfully not thought to be life threatening.
