Malaysia's government has mandated booster requirements for people over 60 and Sinovac recipients to keep their status as "fully vaccinated."
The Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force-Booster (CITF-B) has recommended that vaccine recipients be given a booster dose as early as three months after the second dose
All those aged 60 and above as well as those who took Sinovac have to get a third shot by February or will be deemed not fully vaccinated, said Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
Previously, COVID-19 booster shots were limited to individuals 18 years and older with comorbidities.
