Jakarta (ANTARA) - Shifting silaturahmi, the Eid al-Fitr tradition of visiting neighbors and relatives to maintain social bonds, to virtual platforms will not dilute its essence, the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 has said.
Gatherings could be held virtually in order to prevent transmission (of COVID-19) to families in their hometowns, coordinator of the expert team and spokesperson for the task force, Wiku Adisasmito, said in a press release received here on Tuesday. ....

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Secretary General Amirsyah Tambunan emphasized public adherence to the government’s homecoming exodus ban, so that cases of rampant COVID-19 transmission do not increase again as observed in countries, such as India.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The trend of daily COVID-19 cases is currently experiencing a decline despite fairly good testing numbers, according to the Task Force for Handling COVID-19.
With the testing numbers recently being fairly good, the number of positive cases detected has actually decreased, Wiku Adisasmito, spokesman for the COVID-19 Task Force, noted in a written statement here on Friday.
According to data on the development of COVID-19 cases as of April 1, 2021, there were an additional 6,142 confirmed positive patients, with 121,222 active cases, or eight percent, as compared to the global average of 17.2 percent. ....
