Lots of schools have been moving classes in together. when we think of that figure, one in 12 teachers and leaders absent, that s quite a lot, because that s potentially quite a lot of classes having to share school assembly rooms, quite a lot of passes having to put up with last minute planned lessons so the key impact on schools is lack of available temporary staff to come in and teach. the government says it s helping, working on contingency plans to deal with some of that absence and i m going to underline the fact that, while one in 12 teachers being absent is only a slight increase from the one in 13 before christmas, if you look at the percentage increase, it has gone from 3% to 4.9%. these figures may seem small but that has a huge impact on schools trying to provide education. the government says it s working on making sure that schools have the support they need. thank ou ve have the support they need. thank you very much have the support they need. thank you very much inde ....

She just moved from new york to florida. she just wrote a piece on how new york city schools are. so what do you think about how the schools asked parents to stay out of the curriculum issue and now they re asking you to come teach schools to keep schools open? there s a level of irony there. in places like new york city that they could have more subs if they dropped the vaccine requirement. the vaccine requirement was there to prevent spread ostensively. we know vaccinated people can get covid, spread covid. it s a new world of information. if they drop that mandate, you might have more substitute teachers that had covid in the recent past and have natural immunity come in and teach. you know, i love the idea of parents stepping up and helping. the other thing, a lot of places they don t want parents in the schools because they don t want any additional people being ....

So what happened when omicron arrived? they shut down the schooled again. not just in chicago. 5,400 schools affecting hundreds of children were shut down in january. did you hear biden say a word criticizing the unions? he said schools should be open. that s fine. everybody agrees with that. did he say to the unions, we gave you $128 billion. you re vaccinated, you re double vaccinated. some of you are boosted. you have all the money we asked for. go and teach. stop shutting down the schools. he did go after parents. when parents showed up at meetings to complain, then all of a sudden they treat them like domestic terrorists and used the fbi to intimidate them. he s more concerned about parents being angry about the unions and what they re doing to the country. martha: somebody that played this right is glenn youngkin. here s what he had to say. we know when our children don t go to school, it harms their learning and their development. so let me be clear. we must keep our childre ....

Hospitalizations that we re seeing rising across the country, it s one of the reasons why school teachers say that they don t want to bring their kids back to school, they re not looking forward to in-person learning, specifically in chicago and new york city. let s take chicago, for instance. the teachers union came out yesterday and says, listen, we ll go back in to virtual teaching, we ll go into our classrooms and teach, the kids will stay at home and do remote learning. that will give us time to hopefully see these cases coming down, to see our kids get vaccinated, to see more people getting tested so we can limit the spread. but the mayor of chicago said no, the only thing that mayor lori lightfoot would support is in-person learning, those kids need to be in the classroom. it s where many kids get their two meals out of the day from school and they need to get back to learning in person, and that is why for yet another day, jim, we ll see kids in the chicago school district some ....

Educational violence with teachers unions and the rest of the hostages we call our children. julie, kennedy s right. we heard coming out of the los angeles school district, teachers were bribing kids essentially with pizza to vaccinate them, removing the choice of parents to have their control and decisions over their children s physical health and decisions. yeah. first of all, these teachers have one job, and it s to educate and teach. i mean history books, which they want to eradicate. history books, math, ela, grammar. that s what i want teachers to teach my child. i have an 11-year-old daughter. so help me god if one of the administrators had tried to teach my child what gender she is, she, i would sue the heck out of the school. as far as this girl, if she s got issues with bisexuality, maybe she doesn t talk to her mom about it, that s up to her mother and her to have that conversation. but the fact that these teachers actually think that they have a ....
